Grantees Highlight Innovative Transportation Programs at Capitol Hill Briefing
A recent Capitol Hill briefing held by the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center (NADTC), which is operated jointly by n4a and Easterseals, highlighted the work five NADTC grantees are doing to help older adults and people with disabilities address critical issues and stay connected to their communities.
After introductions from NADTC staff, the briefing kicked off with remarks from ACL's Lance Robertson, Assistant Secretary for Aging, and representing Senate Committee on Aging Chair Susan Collins (R-ME) was Sarah Khasawinah. Recipients of NADTC's 2019 Transportation Innovations grants provided an overview of the projects they developed to increase accessible transportation options for older adults and people with disabilities by removing barriers and expanding mobility options.
