A new publication, developed by USAging in our role as a partner in the Community Care Corps initiative, highlights the impactful and innovative work accomplished by the first Community Care Corps cohort of 23 grantees.
Each snapshot includes a program overview highlighting key efforts, partners and future directions. Community Care Corps grantees applied to the program prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, so the profiles of their programs lend insight into how they adapted to safely serve communities throughout the pandemic.
Despite the challenges that the pandemic presented, all grantees remained committed to best serving older adults, people with disabilities and family caregivers to maintain their independence, health and well-being. We encourage you to learn more about their work and to explore how your organization can implement its own innovative programs—or partner with a local AAA to launch one!
The Community Care Corps is administered by the Oasis Institute with support from USAging, the Caregiver Action Network (CAN) and the Altarum Institute with funding from ACL.
